It’s PARTY time!
P-A-R-T-Why? Because Apple just revealed their next moderate refresh to their iPhone lineup!
First up is the iPhone 5(C)—exactly the same as the iPhone 5, except with a colorful (!!!) plastic back, an HD FaceTime camera on the front (slightly higher megapixel-age than the first 5), and a lot of hype. It’ll start at $99—obviously Apple was aiming for this lower price point by introducing an iPhone with the revolutionary new material of plastic.
Secondly is the 5(S), obviously the more premium of the two. It comes in three colors: silver, gold, and a new “space gray.” The 5(S) is the first smartphone with a 64-bit chip (vs. the typical 32-bit, which we highly doubt Scoopers care about, but there you go); the point is it’s over twice as fast as the old iPhone 5.
The 5S also features a better camera (better optics, slow motion, and what Apple is calling “True Tone” flash), and a fingerprint scanner (built right into the home button):
New games were announced (whoop), features of iOS7 were previewed (which we already saw), and that’s a wrap!
Any surprises? Not really. Cool tech? You bet.

Update: Mark your calendars for September 20th when the new lineup hits stores in the US, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Japan, Singapore and the UK. It will be in a total of 100 countries by December 2013, just in time for Christmas.
